Normal transmissions will be resumed as soon as possible. Do not adjust your set.
The little girl in the colour version was much prettier!
She’d probably be about my age now!
Here you go. She’s fifty now…
Sorry. Didn’t mean to freak anyone out. I’m still here. Just hit by an epic wave of chemo induced inertia over the past few days. It’s passing, but I still can’t muster the energy or brain cells to write anything meaningful just at the moment.
Good luck with the mancave, Linds. I can’t wait to see it when it’s done.
Can’t muster the brain cells to write anything meaningful at the moment?
Sounds like Friday afternoons at MacDougalls Advertising.
I am 51 , 52 on Earth Day and have also been in the ad biz for a very long time. Your article about perspective was so incredibly close to my own experience. WOW. I’m still at this game but at a major crossroads. Time to exit methinks.
I am sorry to hear that you are not well. My Dad had the cancer you have and I know first-hand what it is like for your family (and for you too)…sucks. No other way to say it. All I can say is you’ve touched me in a very deep and meaningful way. Your profound thoughts and observations are remarkable…lasting in every sense. Precision and artistry with words….you are a persuasive man– in a great way.
And speaking of words, are there really any that can “help” in your situation? I loved my Dad so dearly and would have done anything to help him. We were all with him and he continues to be with me every day in spirit and at the oddest times, in humour. He lived his life as he wished but perhaps a few more years would have been more perfect!
Take care and get over the chemo and on to the next.
Warm regards, Dorothy
Just wanted to say that I found your journal through a link to the ‘a short lesson in Perspective’. Both that entry and your journal are an inspiration. I hope you are doing ok, and looking forward to more entries when you feel up to it.
